I found a word its called cowling and I chose this word because I have never heard of It before. This word fits in this story because it shows how the egine was sounding.

My connection in chapter two is that I watched a show where two guys went to a nasa flight simulation to see if someone with no flight expeirence could land a plane by useing a headset radio. This connection helped me understand what Brian was going threw because I know what the two guys looked like before they used the radio. They were looking all over the place because they didn't know what controls did what and they didn't know what to do. I also know what the cockpip looked like with all the switches and such. ReplyDeletepart: 2 I predict that Brian is going to crash into the lake, I think this because Brian said he was going to try to land in the lake to try to make a safer landing. When I was reading chapter and I read the part about the lake I pitchered Brian crashing into the lake.

Zacks continued connection. I know how Brian felt because I know how nasty throwing up is. I was able to get a picture in my head. It was when Brian was throwing up all over his clothes and in the cockpit and green and yellow puke gushing out of Brians mouth. I had one question it was when Brian was in the plane and he was thinking of how the pilot pushed in the throttle to make the plane go faster and he pulled it out to make it go slower. my question was why did brian even think about pulling out the throttle all the way so the plane would stop and plummet down? The part of the story that this was in was as I said before in the cockpit on page 22 in paragraph one, two and three. I do think that my question would ask people to explain because some people may think that he should have pulled out the throttle and others maybe think he should have pushed it in farther so he wouldn't plummet down immediately but it would shorten up his time for being in the air, and others may think hat he should have just let it stay in the middle which is what he decided to do. it also makes people explain why they think that. A Vocabulary word that I found was cowling. I picked this word because I had absolutely no idea what the word cowling meant. The definition of cowling is the removable cover of a vehicle or aircraft engine. This word fits into this story because the aircraft that brian is riding in has a cowling. my prediction for this chapter is that brian is going to crash in a lake or some body of water. the part in this chapter that helped me make my decision is on page 23 last paragraph on the page. I thought of this prediction because on the page it said that brian was thinking of a good place to land, like a clearing but since there was none only lakes he had to try to find a lake when he had to land. that is why I made this prediction. signing of now dudes Zack.
ReplyDeleteI have one connection and it is at the end of the chapter when Brian threw up. I have thrown up before and this helps me understand how Brian felt. He probably felt really bad. This was on the last page of the chapter.

I predict that Brian will try to land the plane on a beach so he wont tear the plane when crashing in to trees. This is why I think he will land the plane on the beach.

I have a connection and it is I have thew up brfore this part of the story is at the end this helps me understand Brian because I can feel the sicknis he fells this gave me a good picture in my head the picture it was he let go of the stering wheel and he turnd his head away from the ggayges and he started to thew up and could tell that Brian was felling sick. I have a gustion that question is way did they author stop the story right when he thew up and pushed the nose of the plane down this part of the story is also at the end of the chapter. my last thing is a prdictoin the prediction is that Brian is going to crass the plane and he is going to get hurt but if he doesent he might take the pilot and bury him I made this prediction because he might think the pilot needs to R.I.P. ReplyDeleteI have a comment towards dudes writing. My comment is that when dude pictured brian crashing what did the picture look like? The part of dudes blog thati am talking about is the very end of his blog. I agree that you could picture brian crashing into the lake but I think you could have told us more about what the picture looked like in your mind. I think you should have done this because there could have been a lot more than just telling us that you pictured him crashing. Signing off now dudes Zack.
ReplyDeleteI have a text to text connection about how the pilot had a heart attack and when I was reading in 5th grade about a pilot that died In the cockpit and his co-pilot had to fly it down. On page 15 in paragraph 2 Brian had to fly the plane to keep it from crashing. I understand the story better because I can picture how he had to keep it up from falling and useing all the controls. I can understand how he felt because if you were a kid and you had to fly a plane I would be scared. I could make a good picture in my head because after looking at the picture of the cockpit I know what I would look like. I picture that the plane was falling and he had to pull it up without knowing how much to pull up.

I had a question about why they ended the chapter with Brian trowing up? It was on page 25 in the last paragraph. I was just wondering why the ended it with that I think that it was to make it seem dramatic.

My thinking was it made me think he was going to crash when it said the nose of the plane went down. My vocabulary word was windmiling. I picked this word because it sounded like a good word to have. The word means to propell like a windmill. HULK
